Privacy Notice

FixUber connects requestors and independent contractors. We use information to operate accounts, find potential connections, show job updates, and support users. This notice covers the FixUber website; other users are responsible for how they handle information you share with them.

Information we collect

Account and profile: phone number, name, optional email, selected city/locality and ZIP, and your role. Contractor profiles include selected trades, service areas, experience, optional license details, insurance statements, and estimate-fee information you provide.
Requests and connections: job title, description, location and street address you enter, photos or video, offer and connection history, reviews, and reasons supplied for a connection falling through.
Location: with browser permission, an available contractor’s current coordinates can be sent while the website is active to help rank nearby matches. We keep the latest coordinates, not a route history. ZIP/locality information may be used if GPS is unavailable. The website does not provide dependable background tracking or a live contractor map.
Security and communications: account sessions, keyed hashes of verification codes, sign-in rate-limit records, terms and text-consent records, and message submission/delivery events. Our providers may also process IP addresses, device/browser details and network logs. Support messages contain the information you send us.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate users, create profiles and requests, identify eligible contractors, support direct introductions, send authorized texts, display status and reviews, investigate problems, prevent abuse, and maintain records of user choices. We do not use job-text consent to enroll you in marketing campaigns.

What the other party sees

Contractors receiving an offer see the requestor’s first name, job description, locality, and uploaded media. Requestors see the offered contractor’s profile and reviews. The dedicated street field and contact phone numbers are shared after the requestor approves the connection. This does not stop information you put in a title, description, or image from being seen earlier.

Media links can be opened by people who possess the link. Do not upload confidential documents, private access codes, payment details, or images you lack permission to share. People who receive information can keep their own copies.

Service providers and other disclosures

We use Railway for hosting and database operation, Quo for text delivery, and Cloudflare for domain and support-email routing. Support emails are forwarded to a Gmail inbox managed by FixUber. Website typography loads from Google Fonts, which receives the connection information needed to serve those fonts. Providers process information needed to supply their services. We may disclose information when legally required, to respond to misuse, or to protect users and the service. We do not sell your personal information or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties for their marketing.

Text choices

Requesting a sign-in code authorizes that text. Job alerts have a separate, optional checkbox during signup and a Text alerts setting in your account. Turning off job alerts does not prevent requesting sign-in codes. Reply STOP to stop messages through Quo; this can also block sign-in texts. Text START to the same sender to restore provider delivery. Website settings cannot override STOP. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. See Support for help.

Cookies, browser storage, and permissions

The website uses browser storage to keep your sign-in session and interface state, and a cookie for private access when a preview gate is enabled. It does not include advertising trackers. You can log out, clear browser storage, turn off contractor availability, or revoke location permission in your browser. Revoking permission stops future GPS updates; a previously saved location is not automatically erased by changing that browser setting.

Retention and security

Account, profile, job, media, and consent information stays in the database while needed to provide the service, handle requests or disputes, and meet applicable obligations. These records do not currently have automatic account-deletion timers. Expired sign-in codes are removed after one day, sessions after 30 days, rate-limit buckets after two hours, and message logs and delivery events after 30 days, through hourly cleanup; provider systems and backups may keep their own records for different periods. Access to production systems is limited to authorized operators. No internet service or email channel can guarantee complete security.

Your requests and choices

Email support@fixuber.com to request access, correction, deletion, or help with privacy rights available where you live. Requests are handled by the operator; there is no automatic account-deletion button. We verify account ownership before acting and explain any information that must be retained for security, disputes, or legal obligations. Avoid emailing sensitive identity documents or verification codes. Deletion from FixUber does not recall information already shared with other users or necessarily erase provider backups immediately.

Age and changes

FixUber is for adults 18 and older. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us. We will update the effective date when this notice changes and provide additional notice where required.
